Title: kyudo yumi
Post by: Hexrod on February 20, 2011, 08:32:02 pm
Does Anyone here have any experience building the japanese bows used in kyudo?  They look very interesting - made out of bamboo, 2 meters 20 average length, longer on top, with recurve...

I have a niece who is living in Japan and studying kyudo, and I'm starting to look into the possibility of building a bow for her.

Any advice on materials, construction methods, tillering, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch,

Lee
