I spent the better part of last night online trying to do a little pictorial research for some of the Woodland Indians. Our local tribes near me here in Michigan were Ojibwa, Chippewa, Potawatomi. So far the search has come up pretty empty but I plan to keep looking. Again, very nice work.

talk to Halfeye, he can prolly get ya what ya want, Bub

That's a good looking bow!!! I just finished a Eastern woodlands N/A bow too. Right now I'm breaking it in,can't wait to shoot it!! I'll post pics when my wife is available to take pics. i guess it's Ojibwa style too.

Real nice.

like it alot, i just sarted an iroquios bow similar to that. just not sure what side to shoot off ,the staight or scalloped .
-
Hey sa,
I've not spoken to any of the Iroquioian elders, (maybe some of the other members have though) but I was told by some Odawa elders that they and the Ojibwe and other Algonquian groups shot from the scalloped side. That's if the bow has scallops, because the Ojibwe had both types and I presume that other groups did also. Hope that helps some.

Question on Ojibwa bow one side of limb is tapered does the string run off center of handle if so is this ok or do you correct this I have bow cutout now and going to start tillering. I love you bow and thanks for insperation.
-
yeah it's not truely centered but run's even thru the bow, but I gaurantee it will shoot real good, Bub
