The hickory backed yew is 42# @ 28", 60"ntn with Longnose skins (thanks again Nate). The bamboo backed osage is 59# @ 28", 60"ntn with Diamondback skins.
I wasn't going to do anything with the hby because of the light poundage but everyone liked shooting it so I figured I'd make it pretty.
The bbo is for my elk hunting buddy Steve, down in Texas. He's up here for the holidays and we've been making arrows for it this last week(just need to wrap the fletches now).

Just doesn't get any better then those Scott, Excellent work and attention to detail. well done my friend. What a way to bring in the New Year with a pair like that. Congratulations
-
wow, theses are both exelent. What did you use to cut the snake skins from the bow after you glued them?
-
Those are both amazing!
-
Yessir, I don't think I've seen a finer pair of bows in along time! :o
Matter of fact, I have a bbo in the hotbox right now with a VERY similar profile to your BBO. (Gotta unwrap it today and get a grip glued on).
Excellent craftmanship right there. We can all learn alot from this I think.
-
WOW!!!!
-
Those are just beautiful,great craftsmanship.
-

-
Holy COW !! Those are beautiful bows and arrows.
-
Wow. They are Beautiful. Fantastic craftsmanship.
-
Not a snake backing guy but that hickory backed yew is a beautiful bow. Nice work on both.
-
Absolute dazzlers man.
Questions:
Who did your knapping?
Do you put the tip overlays over the skins?
PD
-
Works of art.......superb craftsmanship. :)
-
Oh, my!!! :o BEAUTIFUL work on the entire package. Thanks for posting! :)
-
Thankyou everyone for the nice comments. Scott
Cesar, I either trim the skins with a razor after they set up a bit or if they're dry, a file and then sand them in.
Pete, Saw Filer did the points and the overlays aren't on the skins.
-
Your work never ceases to amaze me. Both bows are stunning!
-
Yeah I think it's just the professional photos that make them look so good. I bet in person they are just okay ::)
Really though, some of the best work I've seen. Love em Scott! Those longnose made a noble sacrifice under the tires of a car ;D
-
Very nice work. Definately a pair to draw to! 8)
-
Scott those are both phenomenal. Your bows are top of the line in my book. I love the unbraced profiles, braced, and full draw. Those great photos dont hurt either. They capture what great work you did. A+ Jesse
-
Very nice all around.
I like the profile of both of the bows.
The arrows are awesome, those points and the hafting are pretty sweet.
Excellent work.
-
Excellent work,nice looking bows.
-
Excellent as usual Scott. Scott cut his teeth on custom fiberglass bows a long time ago and also builds cutom High end wood picture frames. So making things look nice comes natural to him. Some folks are just naturals I believe. Steve
-
Scott, you bows look beautiful, and I'm sure they do shoot sweet!!! :o :o :o
-
Nate, I hope a couple more of those longnose don't look both ways. ;D
Thanks again everyone, The picture gig is what I do for a living, something like this. Scott

Scott those are some severe eye candy, I see things like that and realize that there are some guys that are in a different league and I would say that you are one of those guys. I suppose your profession has allowed you to develope some skills that are obviuosly transferable. Once again great job. Danny
