i built this osage selfbow for my son in december. it took 3 weeks and is the best bow i have built so far.
the bow is 55 inches ntn, and pulls 25lb at 21 inches. which worked out to be a real good weight for him.
i stained it with med brown leather dye, 3 coats of linseed, 3 coats tru oil, 3 coats of gunstock wax.
the tip overlays are made from a powder horn cutoff.
he was hitting the target and got a bullseye within the 1st 10 shots. he was all smiles shooting it christmas eve

excellent bow sir, in all respects. Doing something with your son tops all of it though.

here he is shootin in the new bow at the indoor range.he was darn proud when people were asking to see his bow. (i was proud too)
he shoots it well already
