Title: New Agate Basin
Post by: AncientArcher76 on December 18, 2010, 03:48:43 pm
Well what can I say I have stepped into something lately and I hope it continues! This was Georgetown blue nodule one of those that looks like a bunch of poop balls glued together...hey now I cant explain what Im talking about any other way but for those who know... I did infact use a tip from jesse using a bopper like a hammerstone and if u look close at the one side I thinned the bas down with 3 long thinning flake ..almost a flute but I was able to go around the blade and remove any high spots!   Could I have takened my next step up from the infamous plataeu???

Thanx warhawk I like the white streak going through it gives it character!    My final phase of getting out of the NEWB club is to get my notching down...I find this to be tough!  I been working on flat scrap flakes and trying the Wintu style or ISHI  techniques.  I know thin basal area helps tremendous..practice will make perfect.  I WILL get there..Look out people!  lol
