A little while back I came home and found a surprise at my front door. What I found inside humbled me to tears as I opened and found an incredibly beautiful yew bow with an attached note of thanks. As I looked over this beauty of a bow and realized the great time and care that John had put into this gift to me, I also realized that I had done nothing deserving of such a gift. The note spoke of his thanks, for the time that I had spent helping him tiller a few bows and also splitting up some yew logs, and he said he had heard of the rough road that Lulyn and I had been through. He thought the bow might help brighten my day. ;D ;D ;D ;D I wish he could have seen my face when I opened the tube. Thank you my good friend John, words seem to fall short.
About the bow. She is a yew D/R character sapling bow 65.5" N to N and pulls in at 54# at 28" She has bull snake skins from the handle to about mid limb and tied off with very nice thread wraps. Then the limbs are natural backed with the tips accented in matching bull snake skin and pins knocks. John's wife Nicki did a very nice handle wrap and this bow is full of character bumps as well.
My second shot hit a bulleye and I was very pleased with the way this bow shoots. Thanks again John for such an awesome heart felt gift.

Incredibly done bow Blacktail! I agree with Gordon, you have come a long way. (I hope one day I will produce something as nice). Keenan to have someone think of you that highly speaks volumes to your character. Enjoy!!! (awesome full draw pic btw).

I will carry it proudly. Congratulations on such a fine accomplishment my "Bowyer" friend. ;)

And once again, this Forum shows it's qualities....We Thank people openly and generously in public, and keep the complaints private. Most of the time people get it screwed around the other way.
We celebrate other's victories and share each other's burdens.
We seek out each other's hard won knowledge and never stint on sharing our own.
We appreciate the diversity of philosophies and approaches to solving problems and yet remain an uncharacteristically cohesive community.
This is what family should be. Thank you all for sharing this Forum with me, and an especially big thank you to the staff at Primitive Archer for helping create this community.
