well after push mowing my moms grass i came home around noon and treated myself to some bow building ! started on one project and then got side tracked . ended up with a hickory recurve 56 inches tip to tip 42lbs at 28inches. after looking at so many native bows lately i decided to try my hand at painting the back of one ....not my cup of tea !! anyway here it is full draw when i have some light .

Heck yeah, looks like a fine job to me. Is that a stave or board? I made some bow boards kinda like that and they've shot very nicely. Nice job!
-
parnell its a board from a tree i cut while back , i shot this bow in before the recurves and just finished shooting some more its got a sweet snappy release and is purty dang fast definitely going hunting with it. still have 86 boards from that tree this is gonna be fun .

Great little project Ken, looks almost too cute to hunt with ;)
And 86 boards left??? Potential for a good looking arsenal there hehehe
Also looking forward to your aforementioned project. More than a few people on here intrigued about it, I'd be willing to bet.

thanks mark
thanks jawge
thanks hatch ,its coming ,the boards were a lot of work but worth it, cuttin tree ,haulin it to a sawmill then milling it down to one bys, ive got a dozen or so staves from same tree that i split out too

Nice bow as usual. The other project wouldn't be a holmy with the levers flipped would it?
