Just finished my first lazy stitch around the mouth of a plains quiver I'm working on. Not so difficult once you manage to get the pony beads onto your needle onehanded, but demanding patience. A lot of it.

that looks great, Frank! :)

Thanks Bear and Josh.
The quiver is gonna be for a trade.
-
That's incredible work Frank. I barely have enough patience to make bows no way I'd have it to do the bead work, but the results are always amazing.
-
That is real nice, Frank. My whole family was into bead work for awhile and then lost interest. I never tried the lazy stitch.
-
Great work. You have it lined up so neatly. Not the easiest thing to do.
-
Nice bead work Frank and a good color combo too. 8)

Thanks all!
I don't know who of you knows atlatlist Bob Berg from Candor/NY; he's been at my house a few weeks back, and he's a really funny person. When he saw a picture showing black and red Blackberries he said 'Blackberries are red when they are green.'
Keep thinking of that when I see my work here...
BTW. it's Bob's birthday today.

Frank, that was one of my Dad's sayings many years ago. 8)

That looks really good. And as for patience, wait 'til you try some 11/0 seed beads. :)
-
11/0 huh...?? These where 6/0 and 8/0
Using my finest furrier's needle I wondered what did the Natives use??
-
Nice work with the White Hearts. Crazy Crow has 11/0 and 13/0 seed beads and beading needles so fine it is hard to tell which end the eye is on. I think the NA folks used a small fine awl to poke a hole through the leather.

Great work.
You will have to show photos of the whole quiver when you are all done, please.
Thanks for your time

Thanks Grunt, thanks Cromm.
I sure will post the finished quiver for you guys!
