thanks for the positive comments, fellas.
This osage is backed by 2 courses of deer sinew. A 4inch handle thats 1.5inches wide. 2inches at the fades and slowly tapers to 1/2inch at the nocks.
-
That's a beautiful bow!! Is there any hand-shock at all for the shortness of it, or does the reflex remove it all?
Really gorgeous paintwork.
-
Very nice bow. Tiller and artwork are both outstanding. 8)

Very nicely done. The tiller and art work are superb. Jawge

Very nice, I love the short little sinewed bows.
-
Nice bow. When I see those short sinew backed bows, I can't help but envision a horse, open range, and buffalo to hunt.
-
impressive. What did you use for the paint job? I've been wanting to try something like that, but until now, hadn't seen a color I was crazy about. I might just try something like that on my 49" D bow that's almost done.

Nice bow love the art work. Reminds me of the bows from the west coast.
-
This traditional bow represents the Southwest. A New Mexico Cochiti Pueblo style bow. Got the designs ideas from local pueblo pottery designs and painted with all natural dyes.
-
Very Nice. I really have a thing for short sinewed osage bows. That one is great. I really like the paint work as well. Fine job.
-
anyone know a good supplier of all natural dyes online?
thanks
-
nice looking bow, love the paint scheme, close to a northern california design. SB- I have had good results using water based artists acrylic paints they dry flat and look good.
-
Now THIS I like very, very much. Great job.
-
Nice paint. Good job tillering a shorter bow.
