Hey guys some of that Onondaga I quarried has gold in it...also known as fools gold or so I am told! I have found some nice chunks so far and my friend that let me quarry the chert said he has made some real nice blades and points with it running through them. Awesome sonds good to me. Anyway encase you didnt read the post before do any of you think I can heat treat this stuff its tougher than $hiT its good practice if anything. Thanks gentleman.

Nope. don't heat treat it. See post on heat treating Kentucky rock. ;) That rock was made to beat the ever living crap out of, and stink. ;D

Got it Mullet I figured as much and it is hard I welted my legs a few times I also went to try a piece of obsidian afterwards I shattered it asi hit it too hard..lol oh well I'm having fun just the same.

Youl find that in some of the normans too. May be camping up that way next week russ. I'll let ya know how my plans go.

Jaimie cool let me know eh? I know of afewgood camping locations that are free and are in the wild. Nice little river and scenic waterlls etc...
