That's a downright nice looking bow. If it were me, I'd scrape a tad bit off the bottom limb from tip to about 2/3 the way to the fade and get it bending a little more before I was completely done with it. I like it though - has a nice color and nice primitive look.

Looks nice indeed.  I wonder did the heat froim the fire add to the tension...  maybe drying out the wood in an unusual way?  What's the cast like on it?

Was there much burnt material that needed removing from the ends/tips?

Also...  well done on getting the pic up (even if it's a month late :P)  it was worth it!!

HatchA,  the wood was fire tempered on one end it was also cut in 1997 to be made into a bow,but for some sad reason made it to the fire pit I will post some more pics one end has been blackend by the fire no charring. I put an owl effigy on one nock & a man on the other deer sinew is fixing asplinter on the lower limb sinew string, yote puffs , mule hair thingamadoodles on the end it shoots cane arrows well
Oldways ,never thought or it being green, but you know me hippy born 20yrs to late its double green, and you know I got a wood burner in case it breaks bring any little bow you break to the house we,ll cook sumthin over it
 >:D ;D

here are some pics of the nocks you can see where it was blackend but no charring I wanted it to look like it was 250yrs old and didn't sand off much of the blacking

KenS,
The string is synthetic sinew you can get a roll from tandy or three rivers(sometimes you gotta cheat a little) the repair is real sinew.
