My last creation. Buffalo horn , maple core , elm static recurve , sinew. 127 cm about 43 lb arrow speed over 170 fps. Not bad by this draw weigth. All bow in black leather , brass near handle. Now I work on extremly short ( under 100 cm ) turkish flight bows , I hope about 2 months I will show you something interesting ;)

Great looking bow - and very filigree siyahs, I like that.

Sweet bow. Some day I am gonna have to break down and try something like that.
Love the finish, especially the brass at the fades.

nice bow! I would love to build one of those but I know I don't have the patience with all the waiting you have to do. I would end up trying to shoot it too early or something I'm sure... That thing is beautiful... :) -josh

Sweet looking bow.

Howdy Henry,
Wow!! Just beautiful!!
While building your next creation, perhaps you could take a lot of pictures and use them by putting together a Build-Along. I am sure there would be a lot of people here who would be very interested in the details that go into the construction of such a fine, unique bow / art work.
I am sure that there are a lot of people here who would not (and could not) try to make one of those. But, I am sure we would like to see how you make them.
Thank you very much for sharing this fantastic bow with us,
Canoe

Excellent work. Never tried one but they always interested me.

Nice ! I'd definately be interested on seeing a build along for one of these. On my list, so many bows to little time. great job, Scott

A work of art! How hard is bracing it?

That is a beauty. Looks fast sitting still;-)
-
That is a piece of working art. Amazing craftmanship.
-
very nice. are they hard to string?
-
That is more than Nice!
-
love the exotics. would love to watch a master build along making of such a bow not that I would want to make on but the step to make it would be insight to a different cultures weapons
-
thanks for nice words guys.Stringing its not easy but not very difficult becouse draw weigth is no high. Strong bows with reflex - it is stringing challenge.
-
Very nice hornbow again!
WOW, another one of less than a meter which means less than 40"? That's really challenging!
Did you read the Karpowicz book about Ottoman Turkish bows?? If not I'm sure you would love that one!
-
Wow Henry, that is awesome. I really want to try a horn bow someday. I know you said not for BOM but how about a full draw anyway,,,,,,,Please
