well i got some coral in the mail last week wednesday
which was good because i was down to using waste flakes to make points from
not that i dont like using them, but prefer better spalls to work from
well i made a few points since thursday.
one from a waste flake two from the coral
i dont know what style of points they are.
i think the one may be a Dalton, one maybe a Northern and as far as i can tell maybe a hillsborough
thanks for peeking

-

-

-
Excellent work

Nice work.......
-
very nice points bro.. that coral is awesome..
-
thanks for the nice words everyone
all three are somewhat translucent when back lite, with the larger coral one being the most translucent
could find my good flashlight to use to backlight them
Mike: the coral aint bad at all.but it doesnt allow for poor platforms and such.its hard material and you have to abraid well and make sure the platform is well
established before you try and flake it.other wise my ishi stick will just slide off.butthat inteurn makes you have to pay attention to every flake you want to take
Dana: ya i'm knapping in the house.i know not a good idea but i keep fan blowing across me when i do it and keep the door closed so it doesnt transfer to the rest of
the house.and i sit near the air intake of the furnace.we have an excellent hepa filtration system,so that helps
-
Nice stuff Tim.
Hey I've been knapping inside for about 4 months.. i have a tarp with a huge pile of debris on it, in my dinning room floor.
-
thanks Jesse
i am lucky the wife lets me do it in the basment.i would be drawn and quarted if i tried it in "her" dining room
she wont even let me warm pitch in the house because of the "smell".i like the pine smell of it myself
