Cool video, 1000 fps with 40#, I have to try that rattan:)
-
cool to see it wiggle around like that...hard to believe they do that every time, and yet archers can still get tight groupings!
-
The archer's paradox, caught on camera. However, 1000 fps? I don't think so. 100 fps maybe. ;D
-
is that 1000 "frames per second"?
-
Ahhh... never thought of that. Makes sense.
-
Yeah I'm sure since it is film they are talking frames per second.
-
thats a great video...i liked wathing the spine flex on the arrow...alot of people dont know about that or havent seen it...john

It's astounding we can hit anything.
-
I can't hit anything and I'm going to use this video as my excuse from now on.

Yeah I need to clarify...I'm lucky to hold a 12" pattern at 30ft.
-
is that 1000 "frames per second"?
Yes, exactly!
Really COOL video!
Hey Matthias, real nice Bows, great area your living in, and some GREAT staves there, too! Rreally would like to try an ash like that one day!

Matthias, thanks for sharing your video. It is really amazing to watch the arrow's paradox in slow motion. Your bows seem to shoot pretty well in cooler temperatures. In what temperatures do you normally shoot?

I love these kinda vids.Seems to me he could raise his nockpoint a bit and get rid of that bump in his flight,as it passes over his hand.

Seemed so to me as well, but it looked like he shoots like me...I don't have a marked nock point. I'm pretty good about keeping my arrows in the right spot, though. His were striking pretty good. I shoot bare handed, though, so it only took one or two feather stripping the skin off my hand to learn how to do it right.

The video is unfortunately a bit too blurry to scrutinize it.
