it took me a long time but i finally got it done.My first bow , I call it Osage rose.(don't ask :D) it's 64" nock to nock 1 and a quarter inch to mid limb. Tapers to half inch at nock, riser and handle is Osage, hickory, and mahogany, it is 45 pounds (naturally 8)) at 28 inches. it is Osage and bamboo backed.

But all jokes aside I left the file marks, no paint, and the natural look of the bamboo, for two reasons the first one is I liked the weathered look 8). Now the second reason is kind of sappy but I think it works. How I see it is a good bow doesn’t need all the polish and sparkles to be a good bow I mean it draws nice and it’s only 45 pounds so it won’t overpower the person using it. The tiller is also good as you have noticed so it's a good bow underneath all the muck but I believe that is what I am trying to say.

Very well done.. ;)

Hey...never knew where You and Your Dad Lived....I have been to Compton Hollow before....and walked the Trails with our Akita's too....back when We showed them all over the U.S.A. in the mid Nineties...used to go to Springfield once a Year to the AKC Eukanuba National Championships hosted by the Ozark Kennel Club and the Akita Club of America.....Small World!!

Great bow! especially for a first one, or second,third..

yes it is his first ,the other one, the oak and bamboo exploded like a fircracker on the tillering tree. He was really upset over that . On this one every time he pulled the tillering string he made a face waiting to hear ka pow !
Im proud of him ,the little shit is going to wind up bagging a deer with it ,he has had two shots in the past weekends a doe and a buck missed within inches. Im still trying to find one to shoot at ::)

Nah this is muh first bow but I still can't really put that feeling into words you know using something you made for the first time and getting a shot with what you made it for it’s a good feeling. ;)
