Title: Ready for season
Post by: Kegan on September 27, 2009, 03:37:47 pm
Archery starts next Saturday, and I'm finally ready for it :). I've got the sinew backed white oak bow I finished a couple months ago (80# at 29"), and four birch arrows fit with 175 gr home made broadheads (thanks to Mark O. for the terrific blade stock and Cody R. for the field points). Originally I had 12 fit with store bought points, but the FOC was only 8% and they refused to fly right. These ones go where they're supposed to though :). Lastly, my mocs have a thin coat of rubber flakes to quiet them down and give them a little traction.

Along with a flannel with a nice color pattern and alot of practice, I think this will be a successful season :)

Thanks guys :)

El Destructo- This bow, despite the weight, is very smooth and gentle in the hand. just tiring after a while. Besides, the clinic is for when I try to make a 90#er... >:D

Thanks guys :)

Billy- I had a dream I shot a gray against a tree the other night! I was heart broken, however, to find that the arrow was lodged too deeply and too high to retrieve either the squirrel or the arrow :D!
