Jake (Dan Jaquay) was kind enough to give me an osage stave at Compton's. So I decide to make a bow for him, the fun is buildin em and even more fun giving them. This bow is 64" nTn 50# @28", 1 1/4" at the fades to just past mid limb then tapers to 3/8" tips. The tiller could have been better, but once I shot this bow I decided it was done. This is possibly the quietest bow I have built, don't know if it's the amount of possitive tiller, only 1/4", but it works. The skins are "coachwhip" snake, kinda different, oughta look great once the osage darkens. I got these from Mike Yancey at Cloverdale, Mike thanks they look great.

Thanks guy's, I gotta get some more of those skins, I kinda like em.
-
yep, beautiful bow. i think you're right, the skins look good now, but they will look great once the osage darkens.

I don't see any problems with that tiller...looks great! Sweet looking bow! ;)

The only thing I can see where you would think the tiller is off is that your arrow in your full draw picture looks to be nocked a little high. I think this creates the illusion of the tiller being off that you are seeing. Other than that I really like those skins, the absence of a pattern makes it unique as far as skinning bows goes. Nice work!!!!! :) :) :) -josh
