While on family vacation last year we had a short stop over in Ky. I had 4 teenaged boys at the house that seemed interested in my archery stories. We ran to the local lumber yard and sorted through the piles and found a decent straight grained maple board. I laid out a Comstock style flat bow and put the boys to work. In no time we were all shooting for distance on a near by golf coarse. I had forgot about that one until I got a picture today of them shooting the bow last week. Nice to see it still holding up. I think it ended up around 68" n to n and about 45 lbs. @ 27". Best of all it gets them off the video games and keeps the tradition alive!.
