That's cool stuff, thanks for the heads-up, I hadn't seen that one. Wood rocks.

Wood Rocks Hillbilly?.... ok that is funny right there. ;D
Interesting way to percussion useing the big rock.Looks like lots of waste to me,but hey it was 47, lots of rocks back then? ;D

Tim, 1947 doesn't even factor into the waste. You ought to see the flakes left over when I haul some pretty rocks north so the baseball bats can pound out a point. I'm thinking along the lines of aged, beef Tenderloin. 12# of rock, 6 ounces of point. :o ;)

Eddie, sometimes it's the journey, not the destination.....:) I can FOG too, but I like trying to figure out how to make 'em like they made 'em. ;) Plus the driveway needs gravel ;D
-
They made them like that, because they had too. ;) they were still making them to hunt with, not to hang on a wall.

thanks for the kind words john, I'm gonna look up that old knapping video right now!

That's pretty cool John. I'm always amazed at how some of the guys like this kept these skills like knapping alive and relearned so much without the internet, books, videos and such that we all have now.
