Hi All-
I am bragging on this sucker, it took me 5 weeks. 23' tall, 80" wide at the base. I did it all myself, had a great helper on the ground. Lots of sandstone here! Some of my corners are > 300 lbs. Now I have to finish this cabin, ought to go to deer season. Client wants me to use it when bow season comes! Sorry to bore ya'! Back to knapping now! PD

Love to see great mason work Pete. Yours looks top shelf! I work around good masons everyday so I have an idea what kind of work goes into such a thing.
Now....how bout some more cistern pics? ;)
-
I agree with Tim. There's alot more work and talent standing there than most people realize. After handling rocks like that all day, it must feel nice to pick up a nice (light) piece of flint.
-
excellent work. great job on the taper.
-
now that is talent. Are you gonna put mortor between the rocks or are they just gonna be stacked there. I am impressed thats some hard work you should be proud and brag!
-
Redwasp, It's what they call a "dry stack" There is morter holding it together ya just can't see it. ;)
-
Thanks, yep I leave 'em recessed. Makes a nice contrast and tension. Cistern's next! PD

Stunning Pete, I'm duly impressed :)
