The bow has an elk sinew backing sealed with whitetail rawhide and covered with copperhead skins... Bow was gifted to a good friend of mine Bobby Lutkenhaus... Thanks for looking.... Jason :)

are the limbs heavy, with so much material on the back?
-

Very nice. Love those copperheads.

The bow is really smooth and has good cast... Maybe I can get Bobby to get on the message board and give a critique... As far as limb mass... I sanded smooth the two courses of elk sinew and the whitetail rawhide was paper thin.... Mid limb bow measures 5/8" in thickness and a little under 3/4 " in thickness at the fades... The bow tillered smooth out to 30" but was just too tight on the fingers... It's a pleasure to shoot and way more forgiving at 28"... Thanks for the comments... :)
