Title: Question: how to degrease & tan a seal?

Hey guys, I have a friend that found a dead seal on the beach, skinned it out and is going to try to tan it. She saved lots of fat off of it, but is now wondering how to degrease it, and if it can be tanned just like a regular hide. Anyone had any expeiriance with Seals? I would think they would be similar to beaver. Any tips will be welcome, I will pass them on.

No but im not sure where you live but make sure its legal to have the hide. and if it is good luck, im sure someone will chime in
