Dont really want to make a war bow but would like to make a 66 inch elb ,id be using osage and the only bows ive made to date have been flat bows,Id be shooting for 60# to 70# at 26 inches,do any of you have an idea of what the starting dimensions might be?any help is appreciated,Dave.

Start at about 1 1/4" at the center and taper to 1/2" at the tips. This will give you a very stout bow. From here reduce the thickness and width as necessary to achieve the tiller and draw weight you want.
