beautyfull! got another buildalong for 'em? (really enjoyed your horn one! )
-
Nice work. How much do those swallowtails weigh?
-
Very nice. If you do not mind me asking, what material do you start with, when you make your heads?
-
Hillbilly - The big one is 40 grams = 617 grains and the small one is 28 grams = 432 grains ... mmmm definitely need a war bow to fling those babies down range ... ::)
Burnie - I use re bar (12mm) that I test before hand to make sure the carbon content is up to scratch for tempering

Thanks much for the info on the horn nocks. So much better than my attempts to get the right opening. You're ahead of me on the arrowheads too.

Makes me want to fire up the charcoal and mash metal. Trouble is, I would end up with blobs instead of lovely points like yours.

those look great! I wonder how you keep a more or less equal conus on those arrows... Nick
