Title: first shooter

heres my  first bow thats  held up so far and i feel will continue to do so. 64ntn 74# @ 24"(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bowfinish004.jpg)http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bowfinish024.jpg[/img]p://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bowfinish004.jpg[/img](http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bowfinish025.jpg)(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bowfinish026.jpg)  the handle i added some deer tine beads i made and a set of rattlers(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/pointtexas014.jpg)(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bow7002.jpg)  i am amazed at the spead and feel of my bow. its my first real bow but i have about 7 failures under me. thanks to ridge runner for showing me the way and all the advice i received on the web.(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bowfinish024.jpg)

Congrats on your first shooter,man these guys and these heavy bows,I do good to shoot 50. :) :)Nice looking finish work also. :)

Bow looks great and congrats on your success :)
but I find it hard to believe that you only draw 24" why so short?

 i just got short arms and legs :-\ really.   i held my arm out straght and measured from my fist to my other arm pulled back and thts what i got.  just like in th pic. and i measured out my tiller tree  using a tape measre and its pretty accurate i beleave.(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bow4003.jpg)  of couras i couald be wrong so i9'll have to double check today. ;)

Look good for your first shooter. Well done. Congrats. I bet you could draw a fifty pounder back further though. :)

oh yeah, i want his to be a hunting bow.  you cant see it but my arms jumping trying to hold it to long.lol  my next one will be a lighter bow so i can play moe.  i want to go to th tennesse casic and get somemore tips and experence.  when is it and how o i get ther?

If yer drawing 24" in the picture, your not at full draw so you could easily pull 26" :)

I only have a 24"/25" draw so I know the feeling :D

This is osage, right? Your full draw looks good. The left limb in the picture of your bow on the t-stick could bend more.

thank you cracker,  ts my first bow yhats a shooter. i had  about 6 or so failures prior to this one and a sucesful kidsbow.  oldbow,i had done some ork to get te limbs bending a little more since that last pic.  this was my final tiller pic. (http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bow4005.jpg) he right limb had a terrible crook in it that i couald'nt get out in my inexperience.  but its shooting and i'm loving it for now!! ;D

That hing at the fade on the right limb is going to give you problems. You have plenty of poundage to work it out.

Knap, the Classic is the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of May. Go to the Traditional Shoots and Events section and see info on the Classic. Pappy just posted an address...

I agree with Eric on that one,I would rather loose a little weight and give the bow a long
and peaceful life that leave it like it is and probably have trouble down the line.Very nice first
shooter,no feeling like that,I remember my first and it looked no where near that good but
to me it was a work of art. :) Hope you can make it to the Classic,it is just west of Nashville
off I24W. Look like GregB suggested.  :)

That might be a little whoppty do right of the fade. Can you hold the bow horizontally with the belly down and have a photo taken? That way we can see the unbraced profile before you start changing things. Congratulations on your bow. Very nice job. Jawge

ok i noi burning you guys out here. but heres the unstrung view.  its had this kink from the beginning and i couald never get it out. so shouald i try to remove some wood or leave it, enjoy ,and move on or what?(http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/bow7010.jpg)

Knap, I've seen this bow on PP before, and the tiller looks okay, don't worry about it.

if you want to remove some weight, feel free to do so, but there's no need. But I really think you're too big for a 24" draw; I saw you on the foto drawing to your left shoulder, if you drew the bow to your face, standing straight, you'd archieve a 4" longer drawlength, I bet. But you just gotto stand straight ;)

once again, great bow. Love them snakeskinns, love the finish!
