This stave was a gift from Tim Ott. Thank you, Tim! I don't make as many as I used to so it has taken me some time to get to it. I just make them for me and mine. "Jawge 2000" was written on it so it was well seasoned. The moisture content was 6% so I kind of worried about that but it's dry in NH this time of year. I like my 'sage at 8% ideally. It's not completely done but it is tillered. It is 52# at 26 in. and is made from a pretty, perfect osage stave. There were a couple of small knots on the belly so I shall call this bow "Small Knots". Note the slightly stiffened appearance of the upper limb about mid limb. It is 61 in. ntn. I'll probably post more photos after I finish it. Lord willing.
I know. I'm having a bad hair day! Again, thsnk you so much, Tim. Jawge

-
Looks great Jawge :)
-
Another beauty George. Love the hair. :D
-
Thanks, Cowboy. The stiff part is slight because the knots were small but I felt needed a little TLC. Thanks again, Bea rand thanks, Dana. Glad you like my humble effort. Jawge

Very nice George. You nailed the tiller on that very well. What do you mean "bad hair day" I thought you always look like that ::) ;D

I like it Jawge !

Thanks, bambule, Christophero and John. She shoots pretty well but needed some handle modifications to get her tuned up. Jawge

hey George, I do have a question on your tiller. I can see it bending fast right out of the fade, but seems stiffer than I imagined rest of the limb. I know you know what your doing, but wondered if that is diliberate.
-
Hey George, ya done that stave good son! Good to see you building some. You are very welcome for the wood.I was trying to remember where I cut that wood? Been to long for this memory for sure. Looking forward to the finished pics. :)
Two thumbs.

Hey, George,
A super bow, as usual. But your hair!! Looks like you were driving around with your head out the window! But, I agree... it's good to still be able to have a bad hair day!
-
Nice bow, Jawge, great tiller! Gotta love that Osage. Bad hair day? at least you have some. ;D
-
Big, I like the elliptical tiller. The stiffer tips make for a smoother draw with less stack. I forgot to mention that the bow has a bit of a natural reflex in the last 10 inches of each limb. Also, that upper limb has 2 small knots which I left stiff. Anyway, that's why I did what I did. LOL, adb. Glad you like the bow. The hair is real too. Mullet, glad you like the bow and the hair, my friend. Thanks, Timo, and thanks again for the stave. Jawge

Ooooo Weeee aint thet purty!

Very nice bow George
-
That's a fine looking bow George, you ought to enjoy that one for a long while to come! :)
-
Thanks, Pappy, Marc and Gregg. I don't make as many as I used to make but wooden bows are a joy both in their creation and in their shooting. A new selfbow just energizes my shooting. Thanks for the kind words. For a short time I'm Georgie on the farm in Chemsfid, Massachusetts. (Side note my home town is actually Chelmsford but we have interesting pronunciations). Just reminiscing. :) Jawge

Purdy bow, Jawge.

Bear, thanks. That's kind of you. Jawge
