Hello fellows,
this is the little light bow I've made for my girlfriend.
It comes from two little billets that I won on ebay, low density american yew, 59" 28 pounds at 25". Ebony tip overlays.

Very nice bow. You did real good for the profile in your billet splicing. Tiller looks great and looks like a fine weapon for the lady. ;)

Thanks for your compliments Dana, Dustin, Keenan, Pat and Dean.
It is also my first try with yew. I've loved this wood, it's pretty nice and soft to work with.

Thank you all, fellows,
bow is 1"1/2 wide at the upper limb, and 1"5/8 at the lower limb. Upper limb was not wider than this, and grain had the profile you can see.
Tips are 1/2 wide. Sapwood was reduced to less than 1/8 upper limb because of the damage during the shipping to Spain. And lower limb sapwood is a hair thicker than 1/8.
Here you have more pics .
Thank you again,
David.
