Hi All-
Thanks for reading my question.
I would like to remove some twists and put a reflex into an Osage selfbow I'm making. The bow is now at the floor tillering stage. Can someone help me with some dimensions for making a form for bending my bow using a heat gun? I'm assuming I could make the form with a 2x4 or 2x6... I'm new to this and any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Dino

I made mine from a 2x6. No real science to it. Make it however long your longest bow is likely to be. Leave a flat spot for a few inches in the center and make it a gentle curve from the center to the ends. Drill some holes through it for clamps. About 3" of reflex in the form is good-you'll lose some when you unclamp it and probably wind up with around 2".

Get a 2x4, and some scraps of wood. Clamp it belly up, and place the blocks where needed to get the deisred shape. best part, you can use ot for straihtenning, reflex, R/D, anything :).
