This Hickory is from my friend Bill G. He cut the tree down last June and I believe it is a Shag Bark Hickory...I might be wrong. I was able to get three staves from the quarter hickory. I rough out the bow with a bandsaw and currently using a draw knife to get the bow to floor tillering stage. I will then use various tools to remove wood, depend on my mood. I'm shooting for 68" NTN, 50 lb@26-27.
