Title: Here's a thought.........
Post by: Bushman452 on February 19, 2009, 06:55:15 am: Sambar deer are very becoming quite common in the state of Florida. Mostly in the St. Vicent Island region and yet I don't know if they allow archery in that area. I mean think about it, primitive bowhunting for free-ranging sambar stag in a region most of us know nothing about. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure this man was born in FL but the deer was probably dressed out in the field in St. Vincent.

Sambar Hunts are actually lottery hunts that you have to apply for so hunts like these happen only once a year.

These deer are very intelligent and are about as challenging as a New Zealand red stag. Also they really like the swampy, wet terrain so expect to encounter a lot of alligators and feral pigs in that area.
