Back from Alaska
« on: November 18, 2008, 09:54:58 pm »
Well were back and what a grand adventure it was.We weren,t lucky enough to get a deer with the bows but we  took a few buck with the bear backup gun(iron sighted lever action 30-30)My boy and I called in 3buck and 4 doe and had 3 different doe within bow range but weren,t presented with any good shots. My boy took a pretty nice buck(for Sitka blacktail that is)on the 4th day but with his 30-30.Those tenderloins sure did taste GOOD!!!!
We saw brown bear sign but weren,t lucky enough to see any.Shot some harlequins and buffleheads and caught some fish that were also quite TASTY!!!AWESOME country shared with some good friends having some GOOD times.I consider myself blessed to spend 10 days in the wilds of ALASKA with my son,my brother, and friends.
Well good luck to all.I,m headed up to the cabin in Potter County on Sunday for our bear season. My boy has to miss this hunt since he can,t miss any more school and has a new girlfriend HA! HA!.HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!Lloyd
