I love your bows Pappy. Great job. I bet its a meat maker for sure. I also love those copperheads skins. I'm praying for a good set to come slithering by me  come next year when they crawl out of their holes. They are plentiful just south of here where we camp alot, they just are'nt that big from what I've seen but I'm believeing for a set of twins, lol Once again nice bow, I like those flipped tips too.   Danny

Well I still didn't get it finished but did get to shoot it some more and also got the tips finished, the shelf finished and 4 coats of Tru Oil on the whole bow,now it is ready for the grip, just can decide on what kind.I usually use just a leather grip but am thinking about rapping this one with leather laces
or the strips Pat gave me,not sure what it is called ??? I will get that this week I hope. ;) :) See
what yall think about the tips,it is leg bone and I think looks pretty good, looks like Ivory when polished. :)

Looking great Pappy.  I like the leg bone but I love that shelf as well. Is that just leather on the outside or something else?  Looks like a beauty.

Just leather ,trimmed to fit.I usually don't put that much shelf on my bows but being this is planed to be my hunting bow I like to leave the arrow on the bow and hang it while in the tree. This makes it much easier to do that. :)

Looks great Pappy, I'm surprised at the shelf, you sure you gonna be able to shoot off a shelf, I like it alot,if you can't, I'm sure I can.hint hint. On the grip, what about that turtle skin that might look good might have to stain it though.  have a good Christmas, got you Christmas card, tell Miss Joanie and Beau and Christina, Merry Christmas for me. hey is my bow still in the hot box and have you thought about what I should back the bow with. raw hide or sinew due to the worm holes. I was thinking coming down in January or February for a week end to finish the bow or a least try.
