New Hawk

I made this last week while I was off.I got the pre form for the head from Jesse just before he left,he told me to be careful or I would break it and I was.It turned out pretty good.I added an
Osage handle rapped with raw hide from a deer I killed,also on the strap Yot canines,horn tips
and Turkey spurs and beard from animals I have taken. It is going to be for a special person,
hope they like it.  :)

Thats a beauty Pappy, ifin they don't like it I'm sure it will be easy to find someone who will truly appreciate it :)

not really my knapping.. i just ruffed it out for him.. he did the finish knapping on it. BTW good job pappy.
The stone is heated Burlington chert.

Yea Cowboy that HC is nice stuff, I plane on goin down there when i get back and poking around and try and find a new source a spot of my own to get it.. i know the area its in so i should be able to find a source. if i do I'm ganna load up on alot of the tan creek chert and bring it back for the classic. If my plane works out I'll take you down there and we will hunt HC.
