At one point tillering this bow I lost sigth of thickess tapering at the hard bend on the upper limb, resulting on a nice fretting pattern

After I corrected the upper limb (and of course balanced the lower) and made the fret non working, I made a hard pach over it with superglue and 2 pieces of leather, that wrapped with cotton, the lower limb one is just for matching purpuses

The bow was supposed to be 65 # and go to a friend, but after fixing it I only got 55 # out of her.

Nice. Glad to see you mess up to. How's that patch holding up? I'd be afraid it would continue to colapes there over time.

Actually Ryan, I know for a fact that once the limb is balanced Guava would never collaps, the patch is more just extra insurance, and because I don't want to see it  ;D

this one Guava with Huge frets, I bended to 45 " on a thread here on PA, and it finally gave up on the back but never changed on the belly

I have a couplle of other ones of from my beginning with frets, that hunted a lot and still never changed

Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you made a bad decision.

Another fine piece of work Manny. I would be happy with that tiller on a clear straight piece of wood. How you managed it with that wavy stick is a mystery to me. Very inspiring. Shaun
