I haven't posted a bow here in a while, mostly because I was having a bit of trouble with the pictures.
Anyway, here is a bow that I made sometime last year, but, like most of my bows, it got modified.
I had been wanting to make a bow using the tie-on nocks descibed in the Bowyer's Bible, Vol. 2, and this one drew the short straw.
I ended up cutting it down from 60" to about 57" ntn. It now draws a round 50lb@27", and shoots rather well, despite it's slightly excessive set. The tips of the bow were tapered to a point (though not
too small, because cedar is not a very dense wood), and an extra long string was tied onto both ends. It works great, and was very simple to do.
