HHB Pyramid Bow

When I was moving my stuff to my new location I found a roughed out HHB bow that I had heat treated.  I had reflexed and tempered it then put it away and forgot about it as there was quite a layer of dust on it.  The bow had a bit of character to it and also had about 2" of reflex.  Over the course of a couple months I got around to tillering the bow out.  It turned out fairly well.  I decided to keep the draw weight a bit on the heavy side with this bow.  The bows specs are 64" overall with limbs 1 5/8" wide tapering to 3/8" nocks.  I tillered the bow out to 70# @ 28" and it kept a bit of reflex while doing it.  You can see from the profile that the limbs have a slight amount of character to them, an amount which I find to not be too excessive and appealing.  The top limb has a slight kink to it about mid limb due to a knot. its an abbreviation for hop horn beam, a.k.a.  ironwood

dont worry were always easy on the new ones,atleast for a little while   lol


a little piece of advise that i recieved when i joined not even a year ago, please dont type in all capital letters it makes you seem like your hollering

Love the tiller and the little "kink" shows mid upper limb in the full draw but the tiller line flows right through it. Very nice work and good hunting weight bow. Kudos
