Bow for neighbor
« on: August 22, 2008, 04:50:44 pm »
I just finished this little osage bow for my neighbor.
63 1/2"tip to tip, 62 3/16"nock to nock.
1 1/2" at fades,then tapering to 3/8" tips.
48#@ 26",  smooth and quick.

Sweet little bow. Seems fitting for a farm, short and fast. Even the cat likes it. Good kitty.

What a nice osage! Bet the neighbor is gonna love it - if he don't you know where to send it :).

Thanks for the comments y'all.
Knight,as a matter of fact, the place to the north of us is for sale.
Medicine wheel, the last 8" of each limb was left stiff. This shape of tiller is very fast and quiet, and I make most of my hunting bows stiff tipped. In hindsight,I probably could have reduced the the lenght of the tips to 6",and it might have looked a little better. But ,the new owner is pleased,so I'm OK with it.  God Bless
