I have an osage stave, but would like someone to show me how to and help me make it into a bow, is there anyone in the south east Louisiana area?, I am a member of ARTAC, so if any of you are members as well I could meet you at one of the club shoots

Would love to, brother. But I'm in Indiana. Hope you find someone in the area.

Ivan, Do you have tools for bow making?  If so, we can walk you through the process with a few pics from you.
Keep bringing the thread back up every few days. Someone will chine from your area. This is one reason we like for folks to post their location, even if it is just their state or regional area. Helps folks like you locate other wood bow guys in your area.      Pat

I am pretty sure that a few of the fellas in the Louisiana Bowmen are into building selfbows. Their site is: www.traditionalbowmen.org

They put on a primitive shoot in St. Landry each year. They also are listed on Tradgang.com at the bottom of the page with the other State Organizations.

Good luck!

Ian,
Sure wish we lived closer. (I live in Missouri) I'd give my eye teeth to have someone close to make bows with.
