Muscle-wood longbow

Never tried this wood before so I picked a stave that would let me know if this stuff was worth it or not.














I'm ready to give more of it a whirl.

looks like itll work! i cant really tell from the pics, is there a reason why its "asymetrical"?

Well I'm still thinking of shortening the upper limb by 1.5", but at the moment it shoots straight and hard.

Looks like it worked Thimo Hornbeam aka musclewood is tough stuff, finding anything resembling straight may be the hardest part.

Yes there will be more pics. I'm headed to the river with the wife and kids in hopes of catching an eel, for the backing. Anyways we will have catfish and croaker for supper regardless.
