Triptych of Dano Kid Bows
« on: July 31, 2008, 11:15:50 am »
Some, perhaps most, of you have seen these as they came to life and union. However I was messing around the other night and made up this "composed" triptych for myself,my Grandaughter,Onesty, and Dano. It is of the three presentations of the bows made by Dano to their intended owners. The thought occurred to me, this AM, that other folks might enjoy seeing them this way too. Thank you again, Dano Gren, on behalf of my Greatgrandchildren, Samara, Kiara, and Markel for their very special, beautiful Dano Osage self bows:

I am caretaker of the bows for the time being, because, in my opinion, it really is quite a significant traditional archery legacy.

Please Note: This is not intended as any kind of entry - just for pleasure sharing.

Cool pics Bernie. I would have to agree that a Dono bow is a piece of trad archery legacy. I've seen and admired a few of Dano's bows and had the pleasure of shooting the snaky bow he gave you. I need to see how much bribery it takes to get a Dano bow. After all, he went out on a monetary limb to help support the Mojam crowd recoup from their fire losses and in doing so honored me by high bidding on the bow I donated to them.
   Dano, I'm not begging! ;D ::)       Pat

This is great.  It will be even better when Grandpa gets to teach them how to shoot the bows.  Thanks for sharing Bernie. Justin

Yes, Pat, ol' "Sneaky Snake", that Dano made for me, is one fine shooting bow. I hunted with it all last season. Didn't bloody it yet but one of these days. Would love to bloody my "It", and "Sneaky Snake", this year.

I hope that day comes to pass, Justin - thank you.

Yeah, rs, it appeared that about all they could do at the time(s) was "drool" them. 'course I did that too - but for a different reason -  ;D

I heard Pat had a penchant for big ones, with long streamers, and tied out of Red, White, and Blue velvet bunting, Dano. Any guy that likes Red, White, and Blue can't be all bad.  ;D

(You're gonna love it Pat, even though you make some fine ones too.)
