Thank you to everyone for the advice im not going to give up on this bow though im going to keep working on it until i get it or it breaks. Ive been working alot so Im excited to get a chance to work on it this weekend.After i work on the handle and fades ill post another picture. Not sure what pike means though. Does it mean to shorten it.

 i did put a fiberglass backing because they said if the grain wasnt all the way through it could break.

You might have put on a thin strip of hickory or even red oak rather than fiberglass.  With an all-wood bow, it could be considered for July Laminate Bow of the Month.
