Greg, about 20-25 yards was probably the average. A lot of the hogs we were seeing were out in the open, and it was tough to get much closer than that. I suck at judging yardage, anyway. I did spend about 45 minutes slithering on my belly like a snake across a field of briars and fire ants using a little scrubby knee-high palmetto as cover and finally got within 15 yards of a group of hogs.
