I tell you what fellers I used antler boppers for the first time today , and I am amazed!!! I will never pick up a copper bopper again!
Antler is the way to go fer sure!

Now go out on a bridge over the Yadkin River and chunk them chunks of copper as far as you can throw 'em, scrub the evil copper residue off your hands, and get to knapping.

I spalled out a bunch of chert madcrow had ,all with my elk billet and a hammerstone. My antler is still good but my hammerstone took a beating. Need to find me a new one!

take your "beaten" one and soak head side down in a glass of
thin
hide glue.
this will fill up the pours and make it very strong....and heavier.
