A pair that I just finished (full draw pics added )

Finished up a pair that been working on the last week. Theese were the first I have done with Cocabola. I think it is my new favorite riser wood. It is sweet. One is a tri-lam Static recurve. Or a working recurve what ever you guys want to call it , we had this discusion on the last one I posted. It 60" and 50# and the other is a 68" r/d 50#

just the look of it, most of the woods i have used are shades of brown, the orange really stands out, the next one i am going to put some bloodwood accents with it.

the recurve is a tri-lam. Like to do it this way because the limbs are thinner than if i used a solid piece. PLus its alot easier bending two thin piece over one thick piece, less chance of it splintering.

Coco is my favorite riser wood also because it is beautiful, heavy, hard and polishes so well.  The only problem that I have with it is that it tends to move more than any other wood I handle, meaning that it tends to warp and crack easily.  Jim
