english walnut for bow

a friend of mine is pulling an orchard . all they keep to sell is the big stuff so there are going to be a lot of fair size branches to burn  i know when dry it is very hard , but will it make a good bow?  i dont want to wait, so can i rough it out without woring about it checking or warping too much.? its going to reach nearly 100 with med. hum. next week      thanks  ken

Fpr reasons I don't recall, it is not considered very optimal, but I'm sure a good bow can be made from it.

Its a very light wood, .47 specific gravity, not very good in either tension OR compression.
