Anyone tried "Ocean Spray" for shafts?
« on: May 28, 2008, 08:58:18 pm »
I understand this plants shoots make a good arrow shaft. It grows in the coast range here in Oregon.
When I go do some scouting this year I thought I would try and find some. Just wondered if anyone
here has made arrows out of it before, and if so, can you post some pics? I have a couple of obsidian
heads people have given me. Thought they would look real nice on some of these shafts with some
Oregon turkey feather fletching.
Is. 49:2 ....He made me a polished arrow and concealed me in His quiver.

I have heard of using ocean spray for shafts, it is tough, but might be kinda heavy. I can tell the bug has bitten you, next you will be wanting those wing feathers back ;D
