Ash Longbow 40#@27"
« on: February 12, 2025, 09:54:05 pm »
I made this bow during the summer last year but never posted it.  It was made from an ash log I found at work.  I had a hole in the upper limb that I attempted to fill with epoxy that was colored with a turquoise pigment.  The pigment ended up having some glittery substance in it that showed through more then I would have cared for.  The handle is wrapped in veg tanned leather dyed with some red and violet leather dyes.  This is a fun little bow to shoot and I have a sister stave to it that made an almost identical bow.  I will have to get some pictures of that bow at some point.

Here's a link to a video I made for the bow on the tube:

Very nice ajooter. I have a special place for a good ash bow. My first ever bow was from white ash and it makes a nice bow. Sure wish the emerald ash bore didn’t kill them all.

That’s a pretty bend
