Second junior trade is go, sign up here
« on: January 23, 2025, 04:45:37 pm »
I really missed this place!  Back up and running just in time to start the second junior bow trade. Open to all but designed to get new or nearly new builders involved without feeling like they have to live up to the standards of those here with dozens of bows under their belt. Same rules as last year, check out the Inaugural Junior Bow Trade thread. Come one, come all, don’t miss out, ten months to build a bow?  Go on, you know you want to! Sign up here, just a name, with “I’m in” and we’ll sort out all the other stuff later.

I'll try again, but I don't make functional "art" like even the "beginners" here make....

Welcome both! PaulC, the criteria is to do your best, I reckon a working bow as close to the specs as the builder can get is fine.  Works of art is maybe for the senior trade, this trade is to encourage us juniors - build a nice bow, get a nice bow….

Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Bumping this one up again.

Just wanted to say that last year's was a ton of fun.  If you're on the fence just know that what ever you bring to the table is fine.  The goal here is to have fun and get to see what everyone comes up with along the way.

What Aaron said!  Go on, the more the merrier. We’re pretty relaxed about the shipping date, we ship when we’re all ready, no fixed date, we probably will aim for late September but last year was later. No hurry no worry.  You might kick yourself when you see what you miss out on.  I’m closing sign up after the weekend, probably.

Don’t overthink this, three is nice and cozy but it’d be way more fun with ten ;) ;) :D ;D
