Sinew-Backed Heartwood Yew Recurve

I recently finished a 64” sinew-backed heartwood yew recurve. The bow is 44# @ 26”. I removed the sapwood and applied 2 layers of deer sinew using TB3 glue. I had a pair of bull snake skins that I used to protect the sinew. The bow was finished with 7 coats of Tru-oil and a spar urethane spray to dull the shine. The handle wrap was made from a leather jacket. The bow is very smooth and has no noticeable hand shock.

Wow!  Super nice.  What’s not to like about this.  The bend looks very good.  So glad it worked out so well for you.  Yew is great stuff!   You did it justice my friend.  Well done.
