So pretty much want to clarify since I’ve never worked with yew wood before. Do you violate the growth rings on the sapwood to achieve a uniform thickness following the bumps and curves? Does this only apply to English longbows or does this apply to flat bows made from the wood as well? Seen a few videos of yew wood bows where you can clearly see the white sapwood rings violated and these bows touch 100lbs of draw.
